You forgot the fire ants. And I'm still trying to figure out what the
heck bit me on Saturday. Got more bug bites in one afternoon in Houston
than I did in 3 days in the Hill Country.
And then there are those lovely afternoon thunderstorms. Lovely if
you're inside and not needing to go anywhere, not so lovely if one
springs up as you're driving totally unfamiliar roads, trying to follow
someone who's difficult to follow. (Not that I was driving, but it's
not easy navigating from the back seat, and I really, really oughtn't go
back to Houston without a good street map or three....)
But aside from the bug bites and the rain situation while we were trying
to get to Karan's, it was a lovely afternoon. :)
