I have access to several PCs at home thanks to a friend who's father makes PCs, but I haven't had my hands on a good Mac in a while. I still own an old Quadra 610 (pre-power pc, in fact I believe it runs at 33 megahertz). I still use it occasionally for Photoshop (not the most recent version, obiously) as well as QuarkExpress and a few other programs, but I don't use it very often. That was the last computer I was able to con ... er, convince, yes, convince... my father to buy for me :-) I really do prefer MacOS to Windows, but right now the price is still prohibitive, especially considering the number of free PCs sitting around the house. (I haven't had enough experience with Linux to say where it fits in with regard to MacOS, but it's definitely better than Windows...)
Anyone have a spare Mac from the past year or three they wouldn't mind loaning me long-term? ;-)
