Commercially-produced baby food either comes in glass or in plastic that
we don't have recycling programs for. All the baby food sold at Whole
Foods comes in glass jars.

We buy all our Coca-cola products and other sodas in cans. :) Unless,
of course, it's something like a bottle of soda that's part of a meal
deal for take-out (Boston Market, Mr. Gatti's, etc.) in which case we
just put up

No argument on specula materials. :)

Trying to think what plastics were used at my weekly checkup with the
perinatalist nurse today. Let's see -- I think there wasn't any plastic
involved on the scale used to weigh me (1 pound up from last week, which
is pretty good), but I'm sure there was plastic somewhere on the device
used to measure my blood pressure (blanking on the name of that right
now), there was *definitely* plastic in the construction of the device
used to check the heart rate of both babies, the cup I peed into was
plastic. Not sure about the glove(s), probably latex.

We use plastic for almost all food storage. I prefer to heat stuff in
or on Corelle if I'm using the microwave.

I'd prefer the Corning-Revere outlet, myself. :)
