Bid shielding is where you bid low and then use another Ebay ID to bid really high. So one-one else bids. Then you withdraw the high bid at the last minute. Except ebay stops you from withdrawing bids towards the end of an auction. So I have an auction with a really high bid and someone trying to wriggle out of it.
