I believe this may be the only time I will _ever_ catch Damon on military history :-)

I'm pretty sure the last cavalry charge in history (so
far) was conducted by Americans in Afghanistan in 2001 :-)

Just to nitpick on a Sunday morning....


The last *traditional* cavalry charge to date was in August 1942, when the Italian Army's Savoy Cavalry with 600 troopers charged with sabers and grenades, and routed a Soviet Army unit that was 3 times their number in southern Ukraine.
