But "green" is deeply mistrusted right now.

He trusts white food more than any other color. Pale yellow is OK, as well. And "breaded" is reasonable in his thinking, as well, but if he's not very hungry, he'll eat only the bread and not whatever it is breaded that the bread was to go with.

Maybe it'll work for you if Sam can stand it that is.

Try cauliflower, carrots and peas. Mix them in smoothly with potatoes, rice or pasta, whichever he likes most. My guess is he'll like it. If nothing else works mix in a bit of applesauce and/or (sweet) patato. If he likes it, decrease the amount of applesauce you mix in over time. But keep the mix smooth. For chewing exercise put some crackers/dry bread with the dish. Tom adores the breadstick thingies you usually get with soup.

Then again, my toddy loves brussels sprouts, broccoly, peas, carrots and all the other veggie stuff the average toddy wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. Strange kid that. His primary love is fruit however. Anything that is remotely fruity he'll devour.
