Spoilers.....natch. The movie took itself too seriously. When Quartermain saw the car, he should have said: "Well I'm glad to see that the great Captain Nemo is not infallible. You've put the steering wheel on the wrong side." When the Nautilus appears for the first time, again Quartermain should have quipped: "Are we going to sail this to France, or are you just going to turn it sideways and have us walk across The Channel?" The movie could not be taken seriously. The players should not have played it seriously. For the bad guy, Geoffrey Rush should have repriesed his role as Casanova Frankenstein. The listing of all the CGI etc companies in the credits was more impressive than most of the movie. Green paint should have been accidentally dumped on Mr. Hyde.
