Unexamined Life

At least here in Kansas City, school is starting up again.  I have a friend 
at work who has a daugher going into first grade and another daughter 
entering pre-school for the first time.  Her husband had to drop both 
daughters off this morning, but was made to promise to take lots of 
pictures; pictures of the girls walking out to the car, pictures of the 
girls walking into their schools, pictures of the girls walking into their 
classrooms...

I believe it was Socrates who once said that an unexamined life is not worth 
living.  Apparently in the early 21st century we examine our lives mostly 
with cameras.  ;-)
