Seems to have worked.  In less than an hour of my sending the note to
the postmaster, they stopped.  (Either that, or the unknowing generator
took off early for the weekend.)  I'll see what happens in the next few
days; if I don't see any more of that by late Wednesday (holiday weekend
and all), I'll assume the problem is solved from *that* generator,
anyway.

Rob, are you still getting them?
