Would you feel better after I mention the University of Arizona football coach fired today.
For the three games previous, a scored against ratio of 166 to 30.
Last game lost in overtime.
Last pregame dinner, several players were not permitted to attend.
Before the season started, a mass formation of players went in to talk to the university president.
But at least they're not the Cardinals.

Only if I hear that Joe Paterno was also fired. He's done a million + wonderful things for PSU, but what happened yesterday and the previous five years is also untenable. (My new favorite word.) Yesterday they had the chance to win at the end and there were two horrible play calls. The clock management up to that point made the bad situation worse. The general view now is that he will coach one more year but that would be it, even though he has a four year contract. And there are so many coaches that are salivating over the job that they should be back on top quickly.
Heck, there was a recent comment that last year and this year there is no American flag on the helmet. Maybe it's jingoistic (not the best use of the word) but there was no harm in having the emblem there.
On the cat front, I've ruined the front room for him. I hung my deer mount there, because I can. The cat comes into the room, goes behind the furniture and runs upstairs. He won't sit on my lap, he doesn't look out the windows, he avoids the room at all costs.
