Yes, and there's one made out of GameCubes. (indeed, they're pretty much ideal for clustered computing, and generate very little heat compared to other systems). Any high-performance computing device can be used to form a super computer. Oh, and I'd suspect that those Mac's were running PowerPC Linux or a UNIX varient rather than MacOS, but hey...
