The owner of a hore riding academy used a rope to lasso a dirt bike rider
illegaly riding a motor bike in a wash that runs next to the horse riding lanes.

The dirt bike rider was shown on the news with his neck's rope burns.
Red but no blistered skin.

[Doesn't look like a high speed capture to me. your opinions / experience?]

The owner of the horse corral was not on the news, but it was stated that he
saw nothing wrong in trying to hold the illegal rider until the police arrived.

The man and his two sons each received a $68 citation for their illegal
activity.

The corral owner hasn't been cited. Yet.

The man made no apologetic statement on the air for his riding.

I have a feeling that the man was lassoed while he was stopped, thought the
owner was bluffing, and tried to leave. The news team had the man, but not the
corral owner, so the story was presented as, "Look what this madman did to me!"

I'll keep you posted if this goes anywhere.
