Well, I have been given a reprieve of sorts. The second opinion suggests
that there is no blockage, and is probably nothing more than an infection.
This means no euthanasia.

Thanks for the info on the Insurance. We will start shopping for insurance.
The surgery for the blockage would have been covered, thus relieving us from
that dreadful decision. Our kitty will be coming home today or tomorrow.
