Also, while the opinion pages (which are labelled as such!) are fairly
conservative, the actual *news* reporting is reasonably
middle-of-the-road.
What I remember as the big example of a conservative newspaper when I was
growing up was the Manchester Union Leader. We'd get that on Sunday, as
well as The Boston Globe, and it would balance out. (Well, maybe not, but
we'd buy the Globe on other days sometimes, as well, for a better total
balance....) Don't know what it's like now.
