The carts designed for multiple children take care of the problem. I've
seen 3 different designs. Now, on one of them, it's still possible for a
child to kick in a sensitive spot, but on the other two, they'd just be
kicking their siblings in the face or something.
I can't quite appreciate the sort of pain you went through, but it's not
exactly a picnic to be kicked in a hypersensitive pregnant belly, either,
which was happening to me a lot until I stopped grocery shopping with
Sammy sometime in July. (I finally went grocery shopping again yesterday,
and took him with me. It was nice to get out of the house, just the two
of us, without babies. He enjoyed it, anyway.) So I have some sympathy,
anyway, just not a gut feeling for just how bad it is.
