He was one of the first politician's to see the potential for and to support the internet. The Love Story claim is complicated. Segal has said that Gore (and Tommy Lee Jones) were the roll models for his hero. He said that a Tennessee newspaper reporter that Tipper was the model for the girl. He repeated this. Segal later said this was not true. But Gore never claimed that Segal said it. The quote from Gore is quite clear and specific about this.
