I recall *something* about tamoxifen research, but
will have to check up on it (later!); of course, last
year's study-stoppage because of ill effects from
hormone replacement therapy with PremPro made the news
big-time.  A decade ago, there was a furor over
certain anti-arrhythmic drugs -- they stopped the
study early because the death rate was much higher in
those getting the drug (I think it was encainide or
flecainide).
