Have you looked at Tools, Relationships, click on the line and see, Are thay one-to-one or one-to-many relationships. I have had similar issues before and that was the problem
Not much help really... You probably know twice as much as me about it.

Anything helps. I cannot make the same relationships that Access makes automatically. There are a few things I didn't try yet, but I get frustrated when the obvious path isn't working.
