I seriously find it very hard to imagine being freaked out by the idea of gay marriage. It's in the same category as "seriously believes in Creationism". I suppose that's more evidence that those of us on this side of the Atlantic are godless degenerates. Rich, who has, however, argued elsewhere that he thinks that states ought to introduce a kinship registry and cease recognising marriages altogether, leaving them as a private and/or religious matter.
