Of course, since the radius of the detected objects decay with
time, the closest approach range will also decrease. I imagine
that in 50 years we will hear something like:

  The object, designated 2054 FHC, is roughly 0.2967 meters in
  diameter and will pass just 151.75 km above the Earth's surface 
  on 2054-03-18 17:08:32 GMT
