Personally, Debbi, I'd prefer taking a pill every day

Personally, I don't want either.
Couldn't agree more, and for certain hyped-up conditions that are probably better dealt with through healthy living, the pharmaceutical companies do us no real favors. But as a blanket policy, I can't say "I don't want to take a pill every day," because it's not that simple. Personally, I didn't want to have a brain tumor, and don't want to take chemo, but there it was, and so I do.
In reply to Gautam, I'm more concerned about nanny-companyism that attempts to dictate what people take every day through manipulative advertising and scare tactics. At least I can know that there will be an election that lets me pretend that I can change what the nanny-state dictates. There is no such "event" for corporations. Maybe we need term-limits for corporate officers.
