FWIW, though I was > certainly no fan of Clinton as President, I did take exception on a number > of occasions to what I considered egregious and irrational attacks on him > and his policies and people. It would be useful to have some reference to what change in policy promoted by GWB would have made this easier to do or has hindered law enforcement in this area. Lets take it as a given that crooks, murderers, rapists, pedophiles, and torturers of children have all supported the president. I would also argue that they have also supported Gore and Nader. Simply because some corporations have systematically broken the law and have also supported Bush does not make Bush complicit in their acts. We also need to see how his actions have made it easier for them to get away with theft. I think Ronn's assessment of the actions is accurate. It is a form of theft that is both disgusting and hard to prove. But, to blame Bush, we need to see why it is easier to steal like this now than it was under Clinton. I still think there is plenty to blame Bush for. I think his tax policy is harmful to the country, and I think that he should be held accountable for the future damages. But, I don't think he is do be blamed for the actions of crooks that support him. (And, we haven't even established that the management of these companies have contributed far more to Bush than to Democrats.) Dan M.
