Invading anybody prior to 9-11 was never going to happen so it is pointless to talk about it. There was simply no political will to make it happen. That is especially so in the Clinton administration where any talk about anything like that would have immediately been put down with comments about "wagging the dog". I don't blame Bush for not invading Afganistan prior to 9-11. But I do blame him for putting terrorism on the back-burner. And I think it is amazingly arrogant of the Bush administration to constantly talk like they did absolutely everything right and nothing wrong. Admit that some mistakes were made and talk about fixing them. Sheesh, that's the first thing I expect of someone who works for me. Everybody screws up, admit it and move on. - jmh _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
