Bush I was investigated in WW2. He was the only American pilot to
bail out of a plane when the other crew didn't. By his own words he
did not verify all crewman were dead before he bailed.

Cleland had an extremely good national security record which is why he
made an extremely bad political mistake and ignored the attacks
figuring people knew and record. Very bad, most Americans now vote
just based on what they see on TV and attack ads.

Sorry, Atwater, Rove and Reed, the Bush dynesty political strategists
are infamous for their dirty campaigns, smear email, phone and letter
tactics, and dirty tricks. Not to say the Democrats are clean but
they have no one to match the Atwater et al. records.

Kerry has always been a poor campaigner but so far has always managed
to turn things around in the last month. Kerry was not in my top four
list of favored Democratic candidates but is acceptable.

On the other hand, Bush compares unfavorably to a baloney and garden
slug sandwich. This is not completely partisan, I disagree with many
of McCain's policies but still respect him. I also think Goldwater
would have been an absolute disaster as President at that time and
would have been bad for the country but I also respect him.
