I think the one single thing that bothers me is that the Air Force would
consider NOT recovering this bomb - especially since it is only in 12 feet
of water.  I have visions of crackpots and terrorists trying to recover it
and using it, accidentally detonating it while recovering it or causing a
toxic spill from moving it....

Sept. 16, 2004 - During the Cold War, the United States lost 11 nuclear
bombs in accidents. But one of the bombs may have finally been located,
thanks to the work of a retired officer. 

In 2001, the Air Force concluded it was in the public's best interest to
leave the bomb in its resting place. Duke, however, would like to see it
removed.
