I disagree. I think 10 or so years ago the Clinton administration was getting more than its share of C/P targeting. I hated it then, and I still hate it now with Bush, which occasionally puts me in the odd position of feeling defensive towards Bush, when my politics don't really swing his way. Aside: I wonder if anyone's ever studied this phenomenon in detail, where the rantings of one side's extremists actually drives people to support the other side by burying the legitimate criticisms under a pile of invalid ones that divert attention from valid concerns. I saw an article theorizing that part of Clinton's reelection was due to this factor.
