Please spread the word to every SF-friendly list you can find....

"Book World's editors invite teachers, parents and students to suggest
a shortlist of books you think high school juniors and seniors should be
reading. Write to us, listing the titles and authors of anywhere from
one to three books you'd strongly recommend -- books that were so transforming
in your own experience that you wish you had read them at that crucial
age. Tell us a bit about why you feel so strongly: no more than 200 words
total, please.

Send your list and comments by Friday, Oct. 29, to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
(use "reading list" in the subject field), or via regular mail to The
Editor, Book World, The Washington Post, 1150 15th St. NW, Washington,
DC20071. Be sure to include your name, address, telephone and affiliation
(if appropriate). We'll publish a select number of these (without addresses
or telephone numbers, of course) in an upcoming issue of Book World."

I'm going to suggest a few SF books that affected me at that age.

With cordial regards,

David Brin
