I'm not sure if you're still interested in finding a BASIC interpreter, but I thought I'd mention that I came across one I wasn't familiar with called "BBC Basic," a demo version of which is on one of the CD-ROMs attached to the cover of the October 2004 issue of _PC Pro_ magazine. I haven't had a chance to check it out to see what this implementation is like, but following the link given led me to a description of the full program at:

Anyone here ever used this version of BASIC, and perhaps able to make any useful comments about it?
