Can gullibility exist without a large helping of stupidity? Something
like 30% of all Americans believe that astrology / horoscopes and all
kinds of other irrational and absurd things (the existence of deities)
and so forth. It's really a kind of failure of the logic process. It's
accepting conclusions without any kind of supporting evidence, and
without any attempt to verify said conclusions.

Intelligence is the ability to put things together. Wisdom is the
ability to use intelligence in the most effective manner.

Like the existence of deities or free will?

See _that_ was the proper response. That was wisdom. That wasn't just
accepting what I was (facetiously) saying without verifying it's
veracity. The reason I brought up the barcode thing was because it _is_
so big in the conspiracy theory crowd. Those kinds of people are the
very people I spoke of above, only the most extreme.
