Actually, Dr. Brin, there is a much easier way to test this. One could
simply look at the official hurricane track maps and compare it to this
silly chain-letter.

Just looking at the *real* path of the eye of Hurricane Frances, the
chain-letter swerves to avoid Pasco and Hernando counties in West Florida,
and then to avoid Jefferson and Leon counties in North Florida are pure
works of fiction. Of course, it is utterly fictitious to imagine that a
storm hundreds of miles across could "hit" Martin county while "sparing"
St. Lucie. These are *hurricanes* after all.

Anyway, while you could have tested this map yourself, you could also have
simply checked snopes.com:

And really, Dr. Brin, this is now the *third* time (at minimum) you have
said something to this effect on the List. Did you really think that it
would be funny the third time around?

JDG - All a bit peculiar form of humor coming from a resident of a State
that will likely be hit by a very major earthquake within my lifetime.....
maybe it will be a celestial punishment for Governor Shwarzenegger's
re-election? ;-)

P.S. Please watch the subject header on replies....
