Last week I was 7-7 for a measely 46-42 overall record. The upset special
is now 4-2 after the Houston Texans beat the Tennessee Titans for the first
time in franchise history.

St. Louis at Miami - The Miami Dolphins narrowly last last week's "Battle
of the Basement" to Buffalo. Miami still plays good defense though, and
the St. Louis Rams are coming off a short work and playing on a slow grass
in Miami, which should favor the Phish. Pick: DOLPHINS

Tennessee at Minnesota - The Vikings are clearly following the "Greatest
Show on Turf" path to a playoff berth - defense, we don't need no stinkin'
defense! Pick: VIKINGS

Detroit at NY Giants - I have picked against the Giants every single week
this season, and been wrong every time save one. Well, I've now seen the
light and believe that Tom Coughlin really has turned this team around.
Detroit has a lot of injuries, and just doesn't seem like a very good team
in the first place. Pick: GIANTS

Philadelphia at Cleveland - At this point, I have the Eagles finishing up
14-2, and losing after the bye week to a not particularly good Cleveland
team isn't one of the two. Pick: EAGLES

Chicago at Tampa Bay - Everyone is getting a little too excited about how
badly Jonathan Quinn played last week for the Bears. The Bucs meanwhile
are 1-5 and are already stuck playing out the string. After getting their
first win last week, they look ripe for an upset. Pick: BEARS

San Diego at Carolina - The San Diego Chargers remain.... oh,
nevermind..... I'm a little nervous about the Chargers having to travel
across the country two weeks in a row, so while I think that they are the
better team, and will be rooting for Marty Schottenheimer to save his
job.... Pick: PANTHERS

Jacksonville at Indianapolis - I have been suprised by Byron Leftwich's
play this year, but its hard to see them running up and down the field in a
track meet with Peyton Manning and the Colts. Pick: COLTS

Buffalo at Baltimore - O.k., riddle me this. Baltimore is missing its two
best offensive players in Jamal Lewis and TE Todd Heap, leaving them with
the woeful Kyle Boller to make plays with his arm to some non-descript
WR's, and hand off to the fairly non-dynamic Chester Taylor, and the Ravens
are favored by 6 points??? O.k., Ed Reed might return an interception or
a fumble for a TD, and BJ Sams will probably add a punt return for a TD,
but that's only 14 points.... I like the Bills to score 17 points in this
one. Pick: BILLS UPSET SPECIAL

Atlanta at Kansas City - What worries me most about this game is Kansas
City's woeful defense missing a lot of tackles as Michael Vick runs wild
and makes them look silly. Still, the Chiefs are at home and their backs
are against the wall. Pick: CHIEFS

NY Jets at New England - How big is this game? The Washington DC CBS
affiliate decided to skip the Baltimore Ravens game this week in order to
show this matchup of unbeatens! I have a strong feeling that the luck of
the Patriots is going to run out this week, as the Jets know full well how
to hang with the Patriots. Pick: JETS

New Orleans at Oakland - After the debacle the Raiders put up last week...
and well just about every week.... its going to be a while before I pick
them to win anything again. Pick: SAINTS

Seattle at Arizona - The Seahawks are in deep trouble if they lose a third
in a row here, and should simply outclass the Cardinals. Pick: SEAHAWKS

Dallas at Green Bay - For the second time in three weeks, the Packers host
a team on a long losing streak at home. The Pack's biggest weakness is
being gashed by fast runners - something the Cowboys lack. Pick: PACKERS

Denver at Cincinnati - I still don't bellieve that the Broncos are a
particularly good team, but amazingly Marvin Lewis - he the former
Defensive Coordinator of the Ravens - has ended up with an abysmally bad
defense in Cincinnati. Pick: BRONCOS
