This just in, Dr. Brin, America was attacked on September 11th. Perhaps
you heard about it?

In what possible sense would it have been wise for the United States to
tackle a wholesale overhaul of Social Security and Medicare while fighting
the War in Afghanistan or founding the Department of Homeland Security?
I know that you disagree with the decision to liberate 38 million Iraqis,
but surely you can recognize that Bush concluded that said liberation was
an important goal of the War on Terror, and that this war took immediate
precedence over tackling Social Security.

Furthermore, there seem to be strong indications that President Bush *is*
planning on tackling Social Security in his next term. Additionally, to
the extent that he did tackle Social Security in his first term, his
bipartisan commission included, among others, former Senator Daniel Patrick
Moynihan.

More hyperbole from you - don't you ever quit? The air is cleaner and the
water is cleaner under Bush - the fact that you can even pretend to call it
the "worst record" with a straight face speaks volumes about your
credibility in assessing this Administration's Record.
