Whatever ones feelings on the outcome, it is always humbling and instructive to watch
Democracy in action.
The American people spoke, and it seems clear where their feelings lay. All the spin,
the hoopla, the bull that went on,
the viscious ads, the blatent lies (both sides included), are washed away in the
clarity of the result. People know better than we think, it is way too easy to write
them off as being illinformed, especially by us who tend to value intellectual clarity
over emotional clarity (if that makes any sense - its not meant to be insulting or
judgemental).

I liked Kerrys concede speech, but watching Bush speak today, he seemed clear, honest
and straightforward. I have long
felt that a fully implemented action, despite it perhaps not being the best action, is
better then indecision. The way Bush spoke, he seemed inspired to fully act out his
agenda. Now, this may be scary, but I sensed that his mandate actually humbled him
too, and may let him be the good man he wants to be, and less of a tool of his dark
minions.

So, congratulations America, and GWB, released from the pressure of having to be
re-elected, be the Leader the world needs. And I hope whatever God, mystic force,
quantum mechanical uncertainty that he/we choose to believe in guides
him wisely.

Its about time we had a coke-snorting President anyway, geez, its 2004 after all ! And
currenty typing from Colombia, I just had to say it.

The White House Maru.
