Glad to have you back. :) Sorry about the motherboard.
I haven't had a motherboard die; it's just been a video card, followed
about 6 months later by the hard drive. And within a couple of weeks of
fixing that, the fan. (And on a previous computer, the power supply, but
that one was a work computer, so it wasn't my problem to get fixed, it was
the problem of someone whose paycheck I needed to calculate and sign.)
Dan was going to get me a computer for my birthday, but kind of spaced it.
We're supposed to go over the specs for what he intends to order sometime
this weekend, but everyone in the house has a cold, and I don't know if
we'll get to that.
Maybe by Christmas.... :)
