To shift gears from politics, I have a question: what's the
protocol for discussing books and movies on this list?


If its something recent, and you're going to talk specifics, definitely put SPOILERS somewhere in the subject line, and also provide some "white space" at the beginning of the message so that people with e-mail programs that preview the message won't be able to read it (I can read faster than I type, talk, or do just about most things, so it might take one errant glance at one word to spoil a movie or book for me). If the movie has obviously been out for years and well known (FREX, Star Wars), it is assumed everyone has had a reasonable chance to see the movie, and if they haven't yet then that's their fault. But if in doubt follow the above anyway to be considerate to others...
