I thought it was heavy users. So you'd expect OldSkool CRTs to be better, since they weigh a lot more and require more effort to shift, thus reducing extraneous flab in the user.

Not on my computer. Shift is a little button below "Caps Lock" on one side and "Enter/Return" on the other. I can't imagine that it weighs more than a gram or two, so I don't see how they'd do much for anything but my pinkies.
