Another respectable 12-4 last week, to go to 123-85 for the year, although
it was a week with only one major upset - the Saints over Dallas, and so
the Upset Special dropped to 6-8 on the year as the Bears fell flat on
their face against Dallas.

Pittsburgh at New York Giants - Statistical gurus are beginning to notice
that Eli Manning is on pace to have one of the worst statistical runs of
any NFL QB in history. Pick: STEELERS

Washington at San Francisco - Yes, the Redskins' offense is still really
struggling, and yes the Niners won last week, but the 49ers remain the
worst team in football for my money.... Pick; REDSKINS

Carolina at Atlanta - The Panthers have inexplicably turned it around and
are suddeny fighting for a playoff spot. The Falcons have already
clinched their division and could be ripe for an upset. Pick: PANTHERS

Dallas at Philadelphia - The Eagles will almost certainly close out the #1
NFC seed at home, and its hard to give Dallas much of a shot after their
debacle against the Saints last week. Pick: EAGLES

Houston at Chicago - I've been on that Texans bandwagon all year, and there
is no sense on giving up on them when playing the lowly Bears. Pick: TEXANS

Buffalo at Cincinnati - Coach Mularkey seems to be working miracles with
the Bills, particularly in getting Drew Bledsoe to play not just better,
but also much smarter. In fact, the Bills have set a team record in the
past four weeks for points scored (yes, even beating out the no-huddle
teams), allowed the 5th-lowest yards in NFL History on defense last week
against the Browns, and have tied the NFL record for kick returns for TD's
with three games left to play. That's called clicking on offense,
defense, and special teams. The Bengals are all-but eliminated from the
playoff, but the Bills still believe, and they seem to be playing good
enough to avoid the upset. Pick: BILLS

San Diego at Cleveland - They'll be breaking out the paper bags on the
shores of the Cuyahoga. Pick: CHARGERS

Minnesota at Detroit - The Vikings appear to be in the midst of their
annual late-season swoon, and the Lions are suddenly getting healthy and
playing much better on defense and in the running game. If Joey
Harrington can at least play mediocre... Pick: LIONS UPSET SPECIAL

Denver at Kansas City - The Chiefs proved on Monday Night football that
they can still score points without Priest Holmes.... and even though their
season is over, they will certainly be up for a home game against the rival
Broncos. Pick: CHIEFS

Seattle at New York Jets - Rumors are circulating that something really is
wrong with Chad Pennington, and the QB who never had a strong arm could
struggle in what will likely be a cold, blustery, day at home. Meanwhile,
the Seahawks showed some real desperation last week in Minnesota. Pick:
SEAHAWKS

St. Louis at Arizona - Things once looked promising for the Cardinals, who
started off the season playing rather well, and for the Rams who have swept
the division-leading Seahawks. The Rams get their RB's back this week,
and should get the win... Pick: RAMS

New Orleans at Tampa Bay - Yes, the Saints won in Dallas last week, but I'm
still convinced that they are one of the worst teams in football. Pick: BUCS

Jacksonville at Green Bay - Lambeau Field has not been what it once was to
the Packers, but I'm going to go with Brett Favre in a game that I think
might be closer than you might think. Pick: PACKERS

Tennessee at Oakland - Drew Bennett goes for 9TD's in three weeks. Pick:
TITANS

Baltimore at Indianapolis - One of the most intriguing football matchups in
a long time on Sunday Night. Peyton Manning is re-writing the QB record
books, and is leading the most prolific NFL Offense since the 1950 LA Rams
(or so they tell me.) Up against them is the vaunted Baltimore Ravens
defense.... unbeknownst to most observers, however, the Colts' defense has
been playing quite well lately.... in fact, over the last four weeks the
Colts' defense has not given up any more points to their oppponent as the
Ravens' defense has to their opponent. And of course, it is just hard to
see Kyle Boller scoring enough points to keep up with Peyton. Pick: COLTS

New England at Miami - The Fish have played suprirsingly well for several
weeks now. Could they upend the Patriots? Yes. I'm going to be a
gutless wimp on this one though... Pick: PATRIOTS
