If you bothered to look at the performance of S&P500 index funds
before opening your mouth. you would see that the higher the expenses,
the worse the performance. This is obvious.

Here's another thing Erik wrote:

"I think the world would be better if there were MORE: free-thinking, tolerance, rationality, humor, compassion, forgiveness, honesty, courageousness, adventurousness, pragmatism, curiosity, cleverness, creativity, inventiveness, imagination, cooperation, altruism

"I think the world would be a better place if there were LESS: dogmatism, superficiality, short-sightedness, conformity, stagnation, mysticism, ignorance, secrecy, censorship, tyranny, jealousy, cruelty, hostility, vengeance, violence, hating, killing

"If I have a basic belief akin to religion, it is that we, as humans, should strive to improve our race by increasing our knowledge, expanding our abilities, and learning greater compassion and understanding for other sapient beings including but not limited to our fellow human beings."

Fortunately, Erik did not list hypocrisy as one of the things he believes we need less of, so he's perfectly safe in acting in direct contradiction of his stated principles.

Of course I've never written anything but "absurd" statements, myself, so what do I know?
