Martin Wolf, an economist who writes an excellent weekly column for the _Finanical Times_, has suggested that one way to counteract the disproportionate (and growing) political power of the old is to give parents an extra vote for each child. But he is pessimistic that such a law would ever pass.
Well yeah. It's grossly unfair to those of us who've expressed self-restraint, for starters. On the plus side, though, it might get more adoptions going.
