I have already said too much. What is public is a consistent pattern from the hounding of Shinseki to the appointment of a Sheik's bodyguard as national security czar, to Porter Goss bringing 25 political hacks with him to run the Agency. The yowls I am hearing in private are more from that direction than the military. And that is all I can say for now. What is clear is that had Clinton tried to do a scintilla's worth of the same political interference, a manure pile would have hit the fan. Yet hypocrites seem not to care when it's their own fanatics purging and politicizing. Oh, the fault goes in all directions. The democratic senators who tossed softballs to condi rice... Not one of them asked a hard question. Like: "Did ANY intelligence officers offer skepticims toward the likely presence of WMD?" "If so, can you tell us what happened to those skeptics who later proved to be right? Were they rewarded and promoted, for standing up and sticking their necks out and (most important) being right?" "Or were they punished?" Guess which is true. _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
