Humm. Humm. Googlicious ... OK, here's an interesting package called HartMath, which appears to do symbolic calculations, is Java based (!) and is free:

I DLed the .jar, the first on the list, 0.8pre2. And when I entered 900! and clicked the "Symbolic evaluation" button I got a damn big number, which was much more satisfying than the infinity symbol I got when I clicked "Numeric evaluation".

This might show more promise for calculating 5,565,709! than a basic Java hack.
