I tried 5,565,709! as well, and the program didn't die, but it set up a wait cursor that tells me nothing at all about how long it would take to do the calculation. After about an hour I shut it down and went on to other things. Java's convenient but its VM can really suck up the silicon, especially when all you have is a 600 MHz G3. :\
