Now, it is always fun to tie things together.... Tom draws a Kilroy with a happy face on the nose on the scorched walls of the interior of the Krondesfire. Something that shows that someone was there after the Streaker had backed out of it. Something that's extremely personal that only Gil will understand.

Before Gil leaves Earth to find Tom, the Krondesfire will come to Earth for a final resting place in 4K2 Park. (We can't have Mile Suare Park as Alberto would be livid.) Buoult will be there to see it as well. With a wooden leg. With 'Smith' carved into it. Buoult will be at the Tytlal's review, Glyph and Glyphability. [In Wazoon Two-step, still being written.] (But not the party unless I come up with a reason.) The first joke of the night will be two tytlal doing the "I know a man with a wooden leg named Smith" joke. First without glyphs, and then with holographic glyphs for the audience to see. Repeatedly, as the joke changes. Buoult doesn't get it, of course, but remembers it. Then, eventually, naturally, as already written, the siege of Earth starts up. The Thennanin flagship, Buoult's, is clobbered. Buoult is trapped on the crushed bridge. Left leg pinned. He's rescued. But not by other Thennanin. Not by Tymbrimi. Not even by a spaceship from Earth. He's rescued by a Marine. Single person, in a suit and pack, carring a Thennanin spacesuit (which they hate to use.) He has to cut Buoult's leg off below the knee. The left leg. Now medical science can grow the leg back. (Or can the Thennanin do it themselves?) Anyway, Buoult chooses instead to have a wooden leg. Named Smith. He still doesn't really understand the joke, but he's trying. Now, when someone says, "So your real leg's left behind?" he answers, "No, my right leg is my real one, and the injury did not affect my behind." He still doesn't understand humor, but he's learning.
