I may be wrong, but --
I think that Dan and Zimmy know each other a lot better than you know
either of them, and that Dan was well aware of Zimmy's feelings on the
subject before he said anything, and also familiar with Zimmy's style
of
argument.
So I don't think Dan is going to confirm what you said above.
As I said, I may be wrong, but I might not be.
Right as always, King Friday,
Zimmy and I have argued tooth and nail on a few points. But I've liked
him
and respected him for about 5 years. I'm certainly not Jewish, but I
try
to listen to people with other vantage points and have a little
empathy for
them. So, I see his views as totally reasonable.
Wow. "Totally reasonable"?
Dan, my respect for you has just fallen tremendously. I haven't seen
much in the recent spate of posts that's *marginally* reasonable.
Totally so? Far, far from it.
I've gone from disappointed in this discussion to disgusted -- so much
so that I'm bordering on willingness to do what I've done about five
times in my decade-plus history online: Employ a filter. (That
averages, FTR, to about one person every two years added to my "do not
bother to read at all" list.)
