Yeah, I'm full of shit. Might as well say it myself to save my
detractors on the list the trouble.
But...
Consider who the President has put in charge of the White House's
post-Katrina strategy: Karl Rove.
Is there anyone who doesn't have his or her nose jammed into the
Republican party anus who doesn't know for a flat fact that Rove's
JOB is ensuring Republican victories?
Is there anyone with two warm brain cells to rub together and make a
little spark who thinks there's even a hope in hell that Rove will
consider the needs of the poorest big city in America before the
needs of a freaking political party?
Because I'm still single-parenting (Peggy gets back around 0130
tonight from her work in Mississippi), I didn't get to see the
President address an empty Jackson Square, so I can't comment on the
content or style of his speech, but the fact that it's part of the
Rove post-Katrina production can't bode well for anyone but
Republican candidates.
I'm so sick of his bullshit. Bush could kill Ron Nagin on national TV
and the idiots who put him back in office would move for a change to
the constitution to give him a third term.
