Ha! Ever seen a wound caused by a Brown Recluse?
I have, and they are very nasty.
Don't pay any credence to Snopes if you live in a Brown Recluse area, they are pretty much full of it on the subject of the Recluse spider. (And I have argued with them on their mailing list about this) I've seen Recluse bites that ulcerated a full 2 inches deep, and while that may only occur in 10% of cases, you don't want to be bitten by one.........ever.

All I know is that one of Dan's co-workers spent several days in the hospital after he was bit by one. (That's enough to know to AVOID them as much as possible!)

Dan got a lot more paranoid about spiders after that. He kills all the ones he sees in the house, and leaves the ones outside only because he has enough time to determine they're harmless.

another ant in the house, need to plan & execute a strategy for the living room -- and if anyone has a problem with ants getting to their pets' food, I found a solution that works fairly well
