So what does it take to create a party between the extremes that is successful? Lots of folks had high hopes for the Reform Party, until the Buchanan debacle. Is the Reform Party, post-Buchanan, still the best third option? Most of their platform seems to make a lot of sense, although I disagree with their call for the U.S. to withdraw from the World Trade Organization and I'm still undecided about NAFTA. Or is the best option to try to move one of the big 2 closer to the middle? Can that even be done? I've heard some moderates say that it takes both wings for the American eagle to fly. But what good are the wings without a body in the middle to connect them? My wife would say this e-mail is typical of me -- it's all questions, no answers. :-) -- Mauro Diotallevi "Hey, Harry, you haven't done anything useful for a while -- you be the god of jello now." -- Patricia Wrede, 8/16/2006 on rasfc _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
