So help your cat stay healthy, and recycle those water
bottles!

Recently read somewhere about increasing evidence for
uncontrolled diabetes associated with increased risk
for developing Alzheimer's; if anyone's interested,
I'll try to find and post it. Something about an
enzyme that breaks down beta-amyloid (or its
precursor; protein associated with the plaques of A.
dementia) but binds preferentially to insulin, so that
increased insulin, as in the state of 'insulin
resistance' or type-II diabetes, means that less
beta-amyloid is destroyed, and therefore tangles in
brain tissue.
