I thought the movie was fine and fun. I never read the FF comics, so how relevant it was to the source is immaterial to me. Also, if you're going to see the movie expecting some sort of existential revelation of the human condition...
I think if they would have portrayed Galactus true to the comic, it would have bombed and failed. Lets face it: how cool would a giant purple guy on the big screen be??? No, I think the portrayal presented in the movie was perfectly fine and reasonable for a movie. You have to understand, this movie was not done for hard-core FF fans, just as I have to understand that ANY historical movie is not meant for historians (ESPECIALLY 300...).
