We would like to publicly thank Jo Anne and the Engineer for their wonderful hospitality. We have had a great week visiting and feel quite spoiled by all the lovely food and friendship. Amities indeed! I realise that we do occasionally snore, but I am not sure about calling the rig the "Thundah from Downunder". I didn't think we made that much noise. It was a pleasant surprise to discover how alike we were. Although I guess that people with similar interests (eg this list) might also have similar personalities. It has also been entertaining to explore pronunciation and 'slang usage' and be able to get the answers to some of the subtle cultural differences that have been puzzling us. It has also been interesting to get some insight into the American political process. We were both amazed at the variety of issues and positions that people have to vote for in the primaries. (The political advertising is also different - especially the nastiness for some of the local positions.) We gained so much more from our visit than the break from the van that our hosts intended.
